The hotel's rooms were dated and had ingrained stains, making it challenging to shower my daughter comfortably. However, they served their purpose and felt clean despite being unwelcoming. The beds were basic yet comfortable.

6.2/10

The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. While the rooms were spacious with 2 double beds, making it cozy and warm on a stormy night, there were issues like constant noise from doors and the elevator, lack of basic toiletries, and leftover rubbish under the bed from previous guests. The service was a bit of a mixed bag too, with some helpful staff but also instances of rudeness from other guests. The location worked well for visiting a friend at Stoke Mandeville Hospital but had some disappointments too. The dining options left much to be desired, leading us to seek breakfast elsewhere due to a lackluster experience. However, the hotel had unique smoked meats available, which was a plus. Overall, the stay had its ups and downs.

The service at the Lodge for my bestie's wedding was exceptional, although I had to pay an additional charge for my child despite proof of a promised booking.
